Miniature Painting

I got into painting miniatures in 1998, at the insistance of a roommate of mine at the time, mostly to get into a tabletop game called Warhammer. I didn't quite enjoy the game that much, but it got me hooked painting miniatures. Since then, I've painted several thousand miniatures for numerous gaming systems and varying sizes of models. I've even sold painted miniatures on places like eBay, and have done paid commissions for others.

Warhammer Vampire Counts Mortis Engine

This is from the table top game Warhammer, and is called the Vampire Counts Mortis Engine. This is probably by far one of the most enjoyable models I've painted! It was very challenging, but also stoked my imagination!

Reaper Miniatures Ma'al Drakar, Mother of all Dragons

Another fun one to paint up, Ma'al Drakar, Mother of all Dragons by Reaper Miniatures. This model is around 14 inches tall, has 5 heads, and took around 30 hours to clean, assemble, and paint! By far one of the largest miniatures I've painted up!

Hawke Wargames Dropzone Commander UCM army

On the opposite extreme, I have also painted up a lot of miniatures from a game called "Dropzone Commander", which is a 10mm scale game. The tanks are about an inch long, and the infantry is around an eigth of an inch tall - this is approximately equivalent to Z-Scale model railroad toys.

This is a good size comparison to a normal sized miniature (from Games Workshop Lord of the Rings miniature game)

Privateer Press Warmachine Khador faction Conquest model

This is another large model, the Conquest for the army Khador in the game Warmachine by Privateer Press. This was another fun model to paint.

Games Workshop Forgeworld Warhound Titan

Another large model that was a lot of fun to paint. This required around 50 hours of assembly, priming, painting, then ended up repainting when I sold it. This model was over 12" tall and had around 200 different parts
